The Legendary Electronic Duo Calls It Quits After 28 Years

If you are a huge fan of music, you’ll probably know the most influential duo of our generation, Daft Punk. If the name is not familiar enough, their popular collaborations include Pharrel Williams, Nile Rodgers (Get Lucky) and The Weekend (Starboy, I Feel It Coming).

They announced their parting on YouTube with a video named “Epilogue”. It is an 8 minute video that took place in what looks like a desert area. The two icons were walking across a sandy plain where at one point Mr Thomas Bangalter (White Helmet) stopped and revealed his self-destruct switch to his friend Mr Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (Yellow Helmet). Once they activated the self destruct switch, they parted ways.

The performers had a phenomenal career with 6 Grammy Awards for their albums and records such as “Random Access Memories”, “Alive 2007”, “Harder Better Faster Stronger” and “Get Lucky''. We certainly hope they would perform one last time before they officially part ways but it is highly unlikely that it will happen again.

Let us drown in their songs and enjoy the records that heavily influenced electronic music.
