On 15th February 2021, Tesco Stores Malaysia Sdn Bhd officially announced their rebrand on the official ‘Tesco Malaysia’ Facebook Page. The nationwide store’s official name is now Lotuss Malaysia and they will complete the process of rebranding 60 Tesco stores by the end of 2021.
You might be wondering why the change? Well, Charoen Pokphand Group Co. Ltd which is Thailand’s largest agribusiness conglomerate acquired Tesco Malaysia’s business in December 2020 alongside Tesco’s asset sales.
Locals who recently went to their local Tesco or even the people who use the MySejahtera application might encounter the hints about an upcoming change to the store way before the announcement.
The change might be too sudden and we are unsure whether they will change the products and services provided. However, Tesco promised despite the changes, they will still satisfy and serve their customers to the highest standards.
