myBurgerLab is giving a free COVID-19 test?

Does this look too good to be true? Well, it’s not. They promised to pay for your swab test if you dined in their Bangsar branch between the 15th to the 21st of February 2021. This was sparked by 2 unfortunate cases recorded at their restaurant despite following the government's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

They released a statement on the 2nd of February 2021, that their employees were sent to conduct a swab test and 2 individuals came back positive. Both of the employees were Sabith and Siti. However, they are convinced that Sabith probably contracted the virus from another source as he only worked for 2 days (5th and 6th February). On the other hand, Siti handled most of the kitchen work for an entire week, so there is a high possibility that she attended to most of the food sent out.

They have also made a quick Q&A in their Facebook post where they gave a quick response to customers’ potential questions. They specified that you can claim the cost after getting tested if you show a receipt which indicates your presence on the 15th to the 21st of February 2021. However, their Bangsar branch is closed at the moment, so you might have to wait until they reopen.

If you are worried about ordering from other branches, chill out because they mentioned that the cases are isolated considering that they were not in contact with other Labs. Please remember to register for the vaccination and sanitize your hands frequently whenever you’re outdoors.
